My Father took the greyhound from New York to Miami on Monday and as told on the site he will arrive to Miami Tuesday 7:50pm. He arrived Wednesday at 6:20pm. They had to sleep on the bus with no AC, no one checked on the passenger to see if they needed anything to drink or eat. There was more than a 3 hour delay.
My bus was very late, after one stop the air conditioning broke down, a bus got promised to us one hour later. This bus has never arrived. I got rescheduled only eight hours later. It was terrible I had to wait so long and it was very frustrating. I arrived at Miami 12 hours late and missed many appointments. Out of expected 34.5 hours of traveling, it turned out to be 51 hours. It was so exhausting.
There were a lot of empty seats, so I was able to stretch my legs.but unfortunately there was a bad urine smell from the bathroom, because I was seated in the back. Couple hours later, I changed my seat and it didn’t smell there. Overall, not bad experience.
The overall trip was nice from New York to miami. time schedule compliance on point. Just wish seat was more comfortable. And internet stable. As for a long trip of that nature customers would definitely like to be entertained with their computer and cellphone by being connected to the internet. When they can't it is kind of boring to travel that long way doing nothing but looking through the window.
The WiFi service was horrific. We only had service for approximately the first quarter of the journey and even then the connection was unsatisfactory. Also, one of the Greyhound representative was rude and abrasive when I attempted to board the bus in Orlando.
The experience was good however a bag was lost despite another making the trip safely and staff were unhelpful when asked how we could rectify this. When we phoned the destination bus station there was never any answer and the helpline of the main greyhound station couldn't find out why no one was responding
My bag went missing on the way. No explanation as to where it went. Staff on site no help at all. Numbers for stations ring out. Still hasn't been found.
The worst experience ever! Waited 4 hours in Richmond, Virginia for a bus driver. I was suppose to leave at 6:25 but left at 10:30. No one in Richmond made an announcement that the bus to Maimi was boarding, if I didn’t kept going back and forth from the gate to the front desk I would have missed my bus. Never again will I be riding on the greyhound again! The people at the information desk were rude in Richmond, everywhere else I stop they were nice. The bus drivers some where friendly and some just seemed miserable.
Very displeased. First driver was falling asleep, slamming on the brakes every few minutes. The layovers were never the amount of time they said theyd be. They put us on a bus, drove 5 minutes, Then said it was “unsafe” and turned back. Had to switch buses. If it was unsafe why put anyone on it at all! And they lost my luggage. 1/10. Would not recommend to someone I hated.
Maybe I was unlucky: was my first time with greyhound and the bus were late 3 hours (but for the traffic so in not under control). What can be under control is the clean if the bus and the behavior of the stuffs: I changed 3 buses and all of them where dirty and one without air conditioning. But what hurtes me more is the behavior of most part of the staff: no patient at all, look frustrated and with no joy to do the job and help the client. At least the ticket is cheap.
