On this trip no USB charger was available to my seat as it was broken and when l asked crew member on other socket to connect he didn't propose any solution (eg. on his seat for example), they also needed to be reminded on switching on the tvs for movies, didn't intoduce the trip details and themself etc
We had tickets from Puno to Arequipa at 8am and we arrived early to the station, that was when the staff told us the bus was not going to leave to Arequipa due to the demonstrations. They did not give us any more alternatives and we lost our flight from Arequipa to Lima. They could basically let us know the day before so we could rearrange the trip, but they didn't.
I went with my girlfriend and the counter attendant sat us 7 rows apart even though there were about 11 open seats!! I thought it was because the bus was full but again when we arrived in Arequipa I realized there where so many seats empty
Mine and my three friends bags got sent to Cusco instead of Arequipa. Meaning we had none of our belongings for almost 24 hours. We are going to the terminal today as they should have arrived then. We now have to spend more money on two taxi rides there and back to collect the luggage.
The bus ride from Puno to Arequipa was great. The toilet was clean, possibly because there were only a few passengers. Also great was the fact that there was no central TV running a movie for everybody.
The bus was over a half hour late picking up. Then, we waited at another stop longer than was scheduled. Then, the bus broke down for an hour, and the driver wouldn't let anyone off. I understand that mechanical issues happen, but the driver could have opened the door to let people use a clean toilet, stretch their legs, smoke, anything but be locked inside the bus for an hour.
Overall it was a good experience! Bus arrived over an hour later than expected, but the seats were pretty comfortable and there were TVs in front of each seat, although I had some trouble with a few of them I tried.
