The respect your team has for its customers is little to none they are rude and disrespectful
The bus was comfortable. The driver gave plenty of information although he had a thick accent that made it hard at times to understand. We had a rest stop and were well briefed for the border crossing.
Nice trip, but the driver (actually, a very good and gentle driver) didn't announce that the bus wouldn't go through Albany. It's OK, I just was surprised that we never went through it and was a bit worried that we were late on schedule.
It was a great experience. My only problem was when I got to port authority I was told to stand on a long line of people buying a ticket when all I needed to know is where do I go to catch the bus and the gate number. A police officer told me were to go catch the bus and a stranger told me where the 8:30 bus for oneonta was leaving from.
I have taken this route with Robert, the driver, several times. Each time I am delighted by hs committment to our safety and pleasure. He is extremley kind and personable and makes me choose Adirondack Trailways every time. It's folks like him who make the difference
I had to switch busses because of how long and ridiculous the route was. I was not waiting a total of 30 hours to go home, the route was gonna take me backwards from where I already was before I was in Paul Smiths. The 1 route was basically going to back track to several cities that I was at when I took a train on Saturday.
My trip had a lunch break at Kingston before going to Woodstock, my destination. The driver told me I should have two separate documents and not one barcode at the back of the other. I agree with him.
Bus was only late due to travelers not pre-preparing for Canadian border document requirements. AT did fine with a bus waiting and ready to go an hour ahead of time.
The Adirondack Trailways bus ride was very pleasant. The driver was very formal, humorous, and respectful. The ride itself while a bit bumpy at times, was very soothing, there weren't any times where I thought we were going too fast, speeding, or any other dangerous driving habits.
Overall, very pleasant, affordable. I do recommend using the Adirondack Trailways to anyone who needs to go far in the north country, who does/cannot drive there.
Wanted to double check that line 7 at Albany station was going to Ridgewood. The front desk staff confirmed that it was. The driver also scanned my ticket to Ridgewood. Then, while already on the bus, the driver then claims the bus is NYC only. Usually, the bus is supposed to make a stop on Ridgewood, but did NOT, and did not ever specifically state that this was a NYC bus only. There is never a NYC only bus. Clearly the bus driver made an error and passed the Ridgewood exit point and did not own up to his mistake. Will not be riding Adirondack ever again. I specifically double checked to make sure I was not on the wrong bus and they told me otherwise.
I am extremely frustrated with trailways. I had a 4:30 bus from oneonta to Albany that was supposed to arrive at 6:15. The bus didn’t come to Oneonta till 7:15. I had to sit alone in the middle of Oneonta as a 19 year old female, scared out of my mind. This whole trip ended up being 5 hours long. I missed an important family emergency and extremely upset.
I got there at 10:45 for an 11:15 bus. When a bus pulled up at 11:35, I thought it was my bus. The driver of that bus was very nasty and yelled at the crowd that this was actually the 11:05 bus coming a half hour late. When the 11:15 showed up at 11:45, we still had to wait another 20 minutes to get on the bus while the driver retrieved some trip paperwork from inside. Once I was finally on the bus, things didn’t really improve much. There must’ve been something wrong with the bathroom door because whenever the bus made a turn the door slammed. There was also a family in front of me that could not control their child but that’s not your fault kids will be kids and all that. My driver was very nice and was by far the best part of this trip, but I just couldn’t take the babbling of the child and the slamming of the door for another 4 hours of travel. I got off at port authority and walked to grand central so I could take a train the rest of my way home. Maybe it was just a bad day, but boy this was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. I’m sorry to whatever pr rep has to read through this, I just wanted to get home to my family for the weekend and got burned on a bad bus trip.
The bus driver was highly reckless I'm pregnant and was highly nauseous due to bus driver hitting the breaks to many time he didn't seem worried about the safety of the passenger he almost hit a few cars it seemed like driver had road rage I have road this bus a few times and only had problems with the driver from friday very rude person
Hello, I purchased my ticket and without any notice the trip was cancelled. I stood out in the the 10° weather for an hour along with several others before I was finally able to get in touch with a representative who nonchalantly told me the bus was cancelled and wouldnt be arriving.
Traumatic journey for us as a family. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. We felt targeted as a group of Indian people with fear mongering and the driver imposing ridiculous demands asking us not to even drink water on a 9 hour journey with young children and elderly. The breaks stated never happened. Not enough time to get lunch so we were starving. Driver targeted us for even having a simple conversation. Another passenger had been eating in the bus and the driver did nothing. Instead he threatened to kick us off the bus. All in all an awful experience laced with racism. Will never do it again.
my driver from Montreal to Glens Falls, Robert, was an absolute gem. He took every measure to ensure we all felt safe and accommodated. Very polite and very diligent. 10/10 service just based on Robert alone
