The bus was quite old and dirty but the Cama seats were comfortable on the lower deck. The AC was loud and at times freezing cold fortunately we were prepared for this. The video sound control above our seats did not work but we managed to change seats to escape the noise.Overall our experience was much the same as other buses we have used in South America but we arrived at our destination safely and would probably travel with Cata again
The trip was fine. The server was polite as was the bus driver.
The dinner served as just ok but not great. No wine was served which was surprising as we had it on another bus trip last week. The bus was older and the seats were not comfortable for sleeping. No pillow or blanket was provided.
It was disappointing to find the Cama Ejecutivo was only 160* for a night bus that travel 9+ hours. Also it does not indicate which Cama Ejecutivo was on the bus at the time the ticket is booked. Temperature was also not well regulated during the night drive. Either too cold or too hot at times. For the price a blanket & pillow could be provide
After reading reviews about Andesmar I was looking forward to our trip and had booked a cama seat. The staff first told us we were to get on the El Rapido bus in bay 10, only to see the Andesmar bus waiting in bay 2, which we just so happened to see, luckily we didn't miss our bus! There was no food on the bus even though we had no indication this was without any services. In comparison the bus we took to Cordoba with another company had a full meal and blankets for the same price. The TV was blaring loud movies until 11pm with no way to turn the volume down as this was controlled by the driver. There was no toilet paper in the toilet. Very disappointed with a frustrating journey with a supposedly highly rated bus company. Won't be traveling with Andesmar again.
The unclear information on what is being booked became apparent on this journey. Despite a price pretty much the same as the three previous journeys, I booked a small seat. It did recline just much smaller. This rather marred the journey experience. The food was actually the best I’ve experienced to date but I think the drivers take turns to drive and deal with the customer service the rest of the time. It was interesting the service pleasant but definitely not refined. No blankets or cushions either. Journey started and finished on time. Could have been worse.
The bus seats were big and comfy but there was no food given for a 12hr bus ride. We have been on another long bus journey and we got given food then so we werr surprised and very hungry when there was no food. Also the toilet had no toilet paper which was pretty gross.
I have been travelling the last 3 month all over South America and this is the worst trip of all. 13 hours, toilet were blocked, water was dripping from the ceiling and the worst is when I collect my bag the whole bag was soaking. All my clothes, everything inside and to be honest I don't want to know how it got wet , because it doesn't smell too good.
