Only issue we had was there were people sitting in our seats when we first got on two people moved but one didn’t so we ended up not sitting together we think they should check peoples tickets and seats to ensure everyone is sitting in the correct seats thanks
Ticket staff was not very nice at Paracas, When it was time for our bus another bus was there and I asked if it was for Lima and she said NO! Siguente! Which is not polite and not good information about my bus. Bus was extremely comfortable and onboard staff very friendly. Arrived in Lima late.
My ride from Paracas to Lima was quite comfortable and on time.
Unfortunately no one on staff spoke English. But I managed to communicate well enough. I was scheduled to get off on the second stop in Lima and luckily I saw them taking my luggage off at the first stop. I had to go down and tell him put it back on the bus.
The staff on bus is realy kind and polite. Trip with Crus del sur was conftable and safe.
Also taxi operator man on bus terminal Crus del sur was very suporting and help us to solve our problem.
Woman at information desk office, terminal Cria del sur in Lima was very rude and unpolite, just becouse I asked if she speak English.
When I booked the trip they asked for an ID number, did not specified that it needed to be the passport. I entered my driver's license as my picture ID but was not allowed to board the bus because they required my passport. So I was unable to travel and lost all four tickets that were purchased. Completely ruined my day, did not go to paracas as planned and lost my money. It should be clearly specified that foreigners are required to show the passport to board the bus.
Ordered vegetarian meal. Was given chicken, said that I was vegetarian and told there was no food so was given a meal I couldn’t eat. Driver breakingn too hard, meal flew off tray and spilt everywhere. Attendant assumed I couldn’t speak Spanish and so only spoke through my friend and when I interrupted to say I could speak Spanish he told me To wait a moment and continued to talk to my friend who speaks less Spanish than me.
Buses is sometimes the only way to travel in Peru, Cruz del Sur is probably the best one among bus companies, but still many services run late. My bus was 30’ late to Paracas and further 30’+ late to Lima, with total delay being 1h+
I was sitting in the front, seat 4. It would have been better if they had open curtains to the front window so we could see out. But they were closed. Also, please turn off the TV. Impossible to read. Those who want to watch TV could use ear phones, no?
Cruz del sur was better on previous occasions. But this time the seats were dirty (litered with actual trash). The microphone was going in and out when the announcer was talking and the tv didn’t work.
Bus was supposed to leave from Paracas at 7:30 but actually did so at around 8:45. So we woke up at 6:30 for nothing, could have slept more. The Cruz del Sur staff at the bus station lacked even the most basic client service skills. They didn't know what was going on and seemed overwhelmed by the situation. We were afraid of loosing the plane from Lima because of their delay. In the end we barely made it.
