The bus didn’t even go, leaving us stranded in New York City, having to spend a lot of extra money on a hotel and a trip to Toronto with a different company. I am very disappointed.
I enjoy my ride from New York to Toronto Canada with Trailway and I'll definitely do again and recommend friends and family to travel with Trailways. Nice experience
The ride overall was a good experience since the bus was semi empty however the first 2 drivers were horribly rude - the 3rd was really nice; the bus was clean on the first run but not the 2nd or 3rd
Comfortable and easy trip! I did notice it can be a bit confusing with the transfers and moving around and the outlets unfortunately did not work. Also both grey hounds I took arrived an hour earlier than scheduled haha not necessarily a bad thing just surprised me!
Decently comfy seats but considering it was an overnight bus, there were lots of stops at short intervals, making it impossible to sleep. There was also nothing done about passengers who got on earlier hogging two seats with their bags, and not giving them up to other passengers.
The trip was fairly good, however. The pick up from Queens Villege was tardy. The office was closed, the bus came one and a half hour late. No one to give us information, calls to The office was not answered. Persons standing in the cold , no restroom facility no where to sit. Crazy
There was really a nasty smell coming out of the washrooms. The smell which wasn't noticeable at the beginning, increased as the trip went on. Believe me that for those who were sitting at the back, it was unbearable.
The bus was overbooked. The staff did not project their voices so everyone could hear. Many, including myself could not hear unless we told them to repeat. Ive heard them use the system to broadcast messages so it was a little frustrating to constantly be asked questions that the staff should have been answering or walking down the line to answer questions. Another bus had to be ordered based on the overbooking of tickets. When the bus came it was extremely hot. The bus driver from NY to Buffalo had to make sure the bathroom was in good shape and kept the smell down to a minimum. He also ensured we switched busses due to the heat and smell. Sincerely apologies but I don’t remember his name however, he was amazing and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Very funny and professional.
Very unprofessional and no consideration that the passenger has work/appointments to get to for which trusted Greyhound to help make it happen by getting one from point A to B according to schedule. This trip was a real nightmare.
To whom it may concern.
Firstly, I must say they treated Canadians like garbage, they let the people going to buffalo first and wasn’t any proper seats, they spread and take seats for themselves and for us have to squeeze and to make ourselves comfortable, poor Ac, and driver doesn’t address customer nicely... no wifi access 😞 and the driver should let customers knew that they must be considered with using their electronics device, they Americans guys have their phones and lights all the way to buffalo, this is disrespectful, didn’t get a nap 💤 at all from New York. Wish this can be addressed poor service.
getting downtown on time but miss my connection to Pearson and I was stranded alone by myself in a new country because those who checked the tickets failed to put me on the right bus in Buffalo.
The drivers were helpful to the pasengers.
The AC power outlets supply never worked. The new driver at Buffalo did check and tried to reset, but was not successful. I was unable to contact my concerned family and friends who were very worried by not being able to receive my alerts.
Staff was so rude. Nothing personally to me but they were rude against some elderly passangers. Bus driver and gate keeper went on argument between each other and were yelling in front of all customers. Some customers as for help with some information but bus driver was noy willing to help. Completely neglect them. I will pay extra for flight but will never travel on bus again.
No working power sockets and Wi-Fi also not working... this makes a very frustrating long trip.
Also during the trip there was a good amount of communication about what was happening, which would be nice if ground staff in New York did the same. I have never taken a greyhound service in US before as this was my first trip to the country- the service had no sign at the gate to be sure i was at the right gate and i had to guess which line it was and it felt like we were expected to already know what the process was ... No explanation and assurance about the service leaving 25mins late.
The bus was scheduled for departure at 8:00 am, bus had mechanical problems and needed to transferred to another bus, 2 and 1/2 hours late leaving New York, arrived in Buffalo, no bus driver and had to wait for another 4 hours, the bus should have arrived in Toronto at 7:50 pm, instead we finally arrived at 2:55 am the next day in the morning.
The arrangements at new york was horrible. No information about which bus to board. I was alloted schedule 318 and staff was not able to tell me which bus to board. There were two buses at same time and all passengers were totally confused and full of chaos created. When one passenger asked which bus will reach toronto at 10.55 am, they got angry and horrible behaviour from them. Really disappointed to see this happened. The driver who drove from new york to toronto also added his attitude to rude behaviour and did not answer the questions from passengers. Total disaster and mis management. Sorry but wont travel in greyhound ever. Note. Driver from Buffalo to Toronto was very good. But still we ended at late by 45 mins to 1 hour.
My bus was late, they over booked my bus and had people wait for another bus. We did not leave Pot Authority until 1:00am. The bus made more stops than it said it would in the itinerary. We arrived to our final destination 2 1/2 hours late. It was very unfortunate.
Overall the Drive from New York to Toronto was okay. The Bus was delayed and no on told us anything at the station. There was a lack of information in general, especially at the border where we had to pick up our luggage for no reason and take it with us to the passport control. No-one there wanted to see or scan the luggage so why take it off the bus? In Toronto itself the bus driver skipped one stop, didn't say anything and no one was really sure if the stop in Toronto was really the last one.
Very disappointed whit the staff very rude and unhelpful also the station very unorganized and nobody had a sense of direction they look like they where mad at the world very nasty
The staffs at the new york terminal told me(two different occasions) that my gate was 22 and I was standing in line for gate 22. But my bus was actually at the gate before 22. Luckily I asked another staff from that gate and he said I was standing in the wrong line, my bus was there in his gate..I almost missed my bus because of wrong info
Even though bus left early the bus arrived 45 minutes early. Very polite and helpful staff on bus. New York City staff was not so nice. Bus cleanliness was adequate.
