The bus itself is great, comfy and air conditioned. The problem was finding the bus. It appeared on the station board as a scheduled departure, then didn’t arrive, then disappeared from the board. Staff told us we’d missed it but after a call was made it transpired it was now leaving from bay 4. No announcements, little help, not great
It was a little bit consulting in Playa del Carmen. Because there was a Bus to Tulum at the right time. But it was the bus before. Nobody told us that it's just the bus, which should depature earlier. So the staff just told us go to the other side.
Great service. First time on ADO smaller bus so we were confused about seat numbers (couldn’t see any) but it all worked out. Great trip and great driver
The bus service with Ado was efficient from booking the tickets to getting on and off the bus. The bus was clean and comfortable and ran on time with nil issues. I would use them again when I come back to Mexico.
I arrived at the station half an hour before my bus. I had pre bought my ticket and was told to wait. I saw a bus leaving for Tulum and asked if I could get on.. I was told this was not my bus. I went up every few minutes asking for the tulum bus and was very rudely dismissed until 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time, i was told the bus already left. No one seemed phased. I got up and took a taxi instead. This was overall a horrible experience.
Our bus didtn come at all. We were in terminal 30mins before departure. No one helped us and when someone finally put us in minibus the driver didnt go right place (where we bought our tickets) very bad experience..
Bus driver got frustrated with me as i didnt know what he wanted me to do. Turned out he wanted me to turn the brightness up on phone so the barcode scanner would work.
Really awful experience cause another tulum bus for 3:07 arrived and we tried to get on that one since our ticket was scheduled for 2:55. The people at the ticket counter said it was our fault that we missed the bus because they announce it over the intercom but after talking to them for 5 mins, they said, ooops, the bus just arrived. Its at gate #4.
Front desk women was rude. Didnt tell us we had to go to the other ADO station. Did not indicate and we missed our bus going to tulum. Paid extra to go on another bus
Bus announcements are in Spanish and mine is limited, so I asked a staff member two times if my bus was leaving. Both times he said, 'no'. Five minutes later, I asked a third time and he said I missed my bus. :( I had to rebook for 1.5 hours later.
Bus never picked up at 4:20pm Zona de Archeological bus stop where we were dropped off and scheduled to be picked up. Bus stopped at 4:51pm and driver refused to pick up.
