The bus driver, Mr. Gregory was kind, humorous and a good driver. The ride would have been perfect except the air conditioner didn’t work properly and we either froze or sweated.
I had written Greyhound off but my experience was much better this time. The bus depot clerk was very nice for so early in the morning. We left on time and we arrived 15 minutes before scheduled. I made it to the airport and checked in without worry because of the timeliness of the bus.
The greyhound staff at Gainsville told me that the bus was an hour and half late. I waited at the station and this staff did not issue me a ticket. I had booked it online. I was a first time traveller and was not sure about the process. I waited for almost two hours and the bus arrived. The driver said that she could take only two passengers only. I was ready to board but she then asked me for the ticket. I showed my online copy and they said this is not my ticket. The Gainesville staff then goes inside murmuring and printed my ticket. But later there was no seat and the bus left. They then asked us to wait another 15 minutes and booked us a user to a location which was 30 min away. Then I took a bus from there and reached Orlando! Such a bad trip and experience! Very poor customer service!
I made mistake of ordering the ticket, was trying to change it, there was no one answering the phene, and unable to do the change online. So I wasted $57.
The bus is so packed, it's hard to find a seat. The bus is smelly and gross as well. The lady that worked at the gate gave me a glare because I ran inside through the door from the rain. The bus felt so dirty that I didn't even want to touch the seat. The only good thing is that it was a quick suffering.
