Very unimpressed with staff and lateness of busses.
very bad service
I was saddened to experience the complete lack of professionalism at the crowded Richmond depot. All passengers really needed was truthful information instead of none at all. My bus was 4 hours late in leaving. After 2 hours my bus number no longer appeared on the screen. The place was in chaos.
I ended up having to fly to my destination because the bus was so late I was going to miss the extremely important meeting I had.
Thanks to greyhound i missed my flight in new york fuck this bus never again
Tim was the driver and he was excellent! Very kind and personable and punctual.
Cara was the driver and she was AMAZING! Made the bus ride so much fun!
clean comfortable bus. Delightful bus driver. The station in Richmond VA was the only flaw. No one could make out the announcer's instructions.
The Greyhound line of buses are ok. The seats were kind of uncomfortable and there was a window that had a TERRIBLE squeak the entire ride up to NYC. It's definitely a worn bus I was on. On the ride back, we were on a Peter Pan bus and it was like being in a Cadillac compared to a Kia. The seats were cloth so when the bus braked, we didn't slide forward (something that doesn't make sleeping very conducive on an overnight trip!!). The windows had shades that could be pulled down. The seats were actually comfortable (though, I HATED the adjustable armrests) and the foot rests were adjustable which was nice. And the overhead bins were bigger than the ones on the Greyhound. But overall, for the price, I can't complain too much. However, I do wish the drivers would curb the extremely loud talkers with multiple announcements during the trip. It was a bit annoying (thankfully I had earphones). Though the drivers (there were 3 I had) all said to turn phones off/keep talking to a library level, some people obviously don't care about anyone but themselves. However, when that last driver stopped the bus before we even left the station because someone's music was too loud, they did turn it down. So, the driver's DO seem to have some authority...they just need to enforce it more.
This was the worst experience I ever had traveling by bus.Bus was late because there was no driver.Staff was rude, very caotic! My ticket was for the 10:00 am bus, we left the station at 1:45 pm, we were all very fustrated. No priority for traveling with children. Richmomd VA bus station staff needs to be replaced. Will never do Greyhound again.
