Traffic was the problem
Bus was on time at all destinations Only comment On arriving in swellendam - it was not clear where to go to get a taxi & was directed to several locations from people wearing high viz vests to not find a taxi & ended up walking the local area with a heavy case for 30 mins until found one For a single woman alone - some help / clear directions or signs are needed.
The bus was overbooked
Terribly run service
Price of ticket was R680 . When quoted on the phone it was R280. No seat available for me. Broken seats filthy bus driver was dangerously fast to try and make up time . Hideous experience. Am posting to NEVER USE CITYLINER
We called in to find out if the bus was on time to be told it was. 2 hours later it arrived. We sat waiting when we could have had a lunch and than come back to get on the bus. Appalling.
Bus got pulled over with an oil leak in belleville. Only got told a half hr later it would not be going further. Had to drive out to Bellville to collect, bus driver refused to speak with anyone to give directions.
The bus was overbooked. Kids had to move to parents laps to make place. And competotion buses were 30 minutes earlier than their schedule while intercape was late by 20 making that almost an hour later.
If the bus is consistently late, then change the arrival times later !
I was quite disappointed by the delay. We gobbled up Our lunch to be there on time and we ended up waiting 50 mins. As a result we got to Cape Town almost after sunset and it’s not very nice to be at the bus station at that time
1st driver was a bit grumpy but was probably tired. Second driver drove very carefully and was nice
I enjoyed the trip. On time and the staff were nice
