As a first time traveler on VIA Rail, I did not know where my luggage should go. The train from Quebec to Montréal did not have an over head cabin for our carry-on and no one addressed the issue, until halfway through the ride. We had our bags piled up on our laps and under our feet and the staff went by a few times and did not say anything. This should have been addressed as we boarded. They Need a bit of more training or reminders that travelers are not all experienced with VIA Rail and need to be guided.
