No charging. Couldn't charge my phone the whole ride, 2023 first world problems. I get it. But every other bus on the planet has charging. Fix the busses.
This was my first time traveling by greyhound and my only complaint would be the seating. The is not enough leg room for tall people. I'm only 5'8 and was uncomfortable so i can image taller people do not enjoy the ride either.
The bus after left Connecticut was shutted down and they gave to us hope an other bus came to pick us up but we spent more than 4 hours. I had to go to New York Port authority and grab the Nj train to go where l had to go. I missed the event.
I should reach Newark by 7:45 pm but I reached to Newyork by 7:45. There was no connecting bus at that time. I took other bus to reach Newark. My money and my time are not worthy
My wife and kids took the 7 o’clock bus. The bus left 2 hours late with no explanation. The driver get lost in NY city and didn’t get to Newark till after 2:30 AM.
Terrible service missed all my bus transfers. Arrived to NY 3 hours late. Then had to use my own money to take a train and Uber to get to my destination. Just ridiculous.
The bus was 2 hours late reaching Newark Penn. There were no clear updates on what was happening. The queues were random and staff spoke only to the people at the front of the queue. The rest were Chinese whispers. It was difficult to understand what was going on. The rescheduled time for the bus showed 2:15 pm departure and then a replacement bus left at 11.30 am instead.
Okay well the WiFi didn’t work the whole ride. The bathroom smelled TERRIBLE throughout the bus. I finally got the driver to turn on the A/C 4 hours into the trip meanwhile it was so hot me and my friend were sweating. The most uncomfortable bus experience I’ve ever had. Won’t be taking a greyhound again.
They never try to catch the next bus. Whole file is just to waste time. I had to waste time and money to by booking greyhound bus. I will never want to book this ticket again
My bus left Boston over 30 minutes late. In addition, the bus stopped at a rest area for 30 minutes on the way to New York. As a result, I missed my connection to Newark. There were no additional buses and no options were offered. I had to walk to Penn Station alone after 10 PM and pay for a train.
Bus from Boston came late at connecting station and I missed the connecting bus to Newark .
Bus driver of Boston bus was least cooperative and made some heated arguments with passengers as well.
At connecting station greyhound staff refused to change my tickets in next coming bus . Me and my family suffered a lot of problems during this journey .
I booked a bus from Boston to new jersey. The staff on the ticket counter was not helpful much and my bus to ny got delayed by 1 hour and because of which I missed my connecting bus to nj and had to book a taxi for going home as it was night.
Worst experience ever. We arrived to NY for a layover of 20 mins until we could board the bus to Newark NJ at 5:15pm. 6 o'clock came and all passengers and I didn't even know what was going on. We just all stood at the gate waiting for someone for greyhound to come tell us what was going on. Some of us walked to cust.service ,waited in line , only to be told several times to go wait at the gate until someone from staff comes to us. Comes 8pm no one never came , no buzz no driver, no customer service. What pissed us off the most was seeing all other buses like Peter pan etc...leaving at scheduled times. I went to cst service one last time ,and found 1 employee that was kind enough to tell us the truth about greyhound. She informed us that we were better off taking city transit to go to NJ, that most of their buses are usually late, that they have a shortage of drivers.Mind you ,my wife and I are not from the area, have to figure out how to get there , missed my NJ pick up and had figure all these out . We ended up finally and Jersey around 9pm . DUCK YOU very much greyhound. I want a refund
They posted the bus number for 5:45 pm departure on two gates, but of course the bus was only at one. About 30 if us waited at gate 4 where it said the bus would leave at 5:45. It apparently left on time from gate 8, leaving about half of the bus waiting at gate 4. They didn’t get us another bus until 8 pm and it went to NYC , not Newark, with no ticket or or instructions in NYC on how to get to Newark. Spent $75 on an Uber from NYC to Newark at 1 am-almost twice the cost of the original Boston-Newark ticket. Supposedly will get a refund for the original $39 ticket.
Going from Boston to NY, the front desk, customer service and the Driver's aid were pointing at each other for directions. We, as customers, were in the middle and frustrated. The same thing occurred in NY, so we left the Port Authority. We did not care to have a long walk to take a regular train to take two rides to go to Harrison, NJ.
Bus driver .. operator Hicks from Penn to Newark was excellent .. a credit to your company .. poor service from the long nailed lady in the information booth in Penn New York about 3 pm so bit of a balance really
There was too much delay without anyone addressing us. The rating here is just because we were later told it was because of a disabled person. Otherwise, it would have been 1 star. We left 50 minutes behind schedule. Also, rain water was dropping on my wife from the roof. It started about 20 minutes to the end of the journey. I later complained to the driver when we arrived NY. Due to the delay, we did not use the 2nd leg of the ticket to Newark as we disembarked at Ports Authority, NY.
