I was not very impressed with ebus because it was more than two hours late. I was called and told that the bus would be one hour late so I showed up at the new time I was directed to be there at. Once I arrived the lady at the front desk said it was going to be another hour. I asked if I could leave my luggage behind the desk so I could walk around down town without lugging around huge bags. She said no, with out any reason why. I was not impressed at all and my bus was almost three hours late.
On the whole it was pleasant. Being an asthmatic and not being able to get off the bus for even a few minutes was hard. Had to use my steroid puffer at least 2 times during the trip. (the heat and mask combined cause these attacks, at least they were fairly mild this time)
Ebus is an artificial intelligence driven company designed for profiteering and has policy that put their customers at grave risk. I'll never use them again and I strongly recommend nobody else does either.
A 4 hour trip ended up taking 9 hours. We were stuck on the highway for two hours and that delay I understand but having to stop in both Abbotsford and Surrey was almost comical as they are so close to Vancouver.
The driver verbally abused a young man for accidentally not wearing his mask over his nose. He then threw him off the bus on the side of the road with no way to get home or get to his destination. Power drunk and disgustingly rude driver. I will never ride Ebus again.
Excellent trip. First driver very firm but used humor to let passenger know that he could not remove his mask just because he was sleeping (pretending) The 20 minute delay was because the Switch driver at Merritt was 20 minutes late therefore all 4 of our next stops were 20 minutes late. The EBus staff person at Kelowna was efficient and explained the Covid Restrictions very clearly. I would highly recommend EBus travel to anyone - A million times better than the old Greyhound days !!
My concern was on the back way when the driver told us that we will go through Kamloops , i did not expect so long route. The next time when Ebus company sends an electronic ticket online, they should show people what kind travel it will be. I thought if i go from Kelowna to Vancouver through Hope , it will be the same on my return ticket but it was not happen
Bus arrived Vancouver an hour late. I also caught the bus from Vancouver to west Kelowna a few days before and that bus also arrived at destination an hour late. This seems to be a consistent issue, not happy about this. Bus driver also drove fast and applied sudden brakes on the way from Merritt to Vancouver in rainy condition.
Bus ran extremely late (almost 2 hours). Temperature inside was hot and stuffy. Man sitting beside me was drinking open cans of beer for the entire duration of the trip and reeked of cigarettes and alcohol. Unpleasant experience overall. Will not ride again under any circumstances.
Told by 1st driver when we got off at Merritt for short stop over we would get on before new passengers got on. This didn’t happen had to tell person it was my seat. He said wasn’t told of this. Also woman’s luggage was taken by another passenger so delayed bus while trying to solve dilemma.
