Very courteous staff. Comfortable ride. Bus driver was friendly and informative. The arrival in LA was late due to Thanksgiving traffic. The driver handled the delays efficiently and safely.
Staff were very unhelpful to us when our bags would not fit in our overhead space, even though they had done on a previous bus that we took. We were told that we would have to pay $20 to put them underneath, no one was willing to listen to us.
Great service. Good drivers. Good value for money. Wifi on board (it works)! Plenty of options for schedules. You'll often see tourists, students and families traveling from LA to San Diego. Very satisfied.
We didn't manage to get on quick enough and thus once we got on most people were sat by themselves and thus as we were travelling with children we were forced to take the remaining 2 seats together - which just happened to include materially broken seats (note at least 25% of the seats on the bus were broken). There was also no air conditioning so it was very uncomfortable. We ended up getting off early and using alternative transport. Entirely dissatisfied!!
The smell is the first thing that greated me as soon as I stepped inside!!
Then, the seat was very uncomfortable.... Felt as though I was sliding down.
The bus was 45 minutes late arriving at my destination
The gentleman who let passengers through the gate and checked tickets was very rude to me when I didn't realize I wasn't standing in the right place. I'm not sure of the type of people he deals with on a regular basis but I am a very nice person and didn't deserve not be guided in a kind way.
The bus was 1 hour late. After announcing that the bus would not depart on time, there were no updates until the bus arrived. No one from Greyhound ever said anything about being sorry for the delay, or provided any estimated revised schedule. In addition to the delay, the San Diego station did not have enough seating and the restrooms were closed. The power outlets on the bus did not work.
I had a bad experience with Greyhound on this, my first trip with them. Utilities that were promised on the bus – specifically the power outlets – were not working. NONE of them, on the entire vehicle! I brought this to the attention of the driver and she checked a switch on the dashboard and informed me that the outlets were "on." I moved around the bus and tried at least half-a-dozen other outlets. None of them worked.
