Very disappointed with the standard. I always held Intercape buses at very high esteem however off late the standards are below par. The buses are dilapidated. Everything falling apart as if this was not a national liner. This was the most uncomfortable journey I have ever had.
As much a the Busline caters for black people, i would like it to respect us, i booked for me and my 7 year old and because there were no seats dedicated to us, i had to entrust a stranger to take care of him because most seats were full and the crew was not willing to help us. WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MY SON? was "rights of admission" going to be in effect then? i know i'm just a mere black person that is just there for your profit but please RESPECT US!
The bus company overall leaves a lot to be desired, with no clear indication as to which bus is going to which destination (there were 2 busses). The staff seemed unsure of which bus to board too. Apart from that the journey was plesent
The bus broke down in Kroonstad, we waited for 5 hours there and we were still 2 hours away from Joburg. Intercape should send another bus to where one gets stuck if it's 3 hours and less away from the pickup point. Or buses should have mechanics travelling with them. Or better yet, intercape should service their buses.
I boarded bus number 917, it had a breakdown problems on the way. It would stop in the middle of nowhere which is very risky. The bus drivers were not commubicating effectively about the problem. We waited for another bus from 5:30am up to 8:30am. Am very disappointed about your service as I alwats thought it was the best.
the bus was over 2 hours late which caused a huge inconvenience on top of having to wait outside in the cold after midnight which is not safe at all! customers should be informed if the bug is going to be late!
The bus arrived on time in bloem, however, the traffic made us an hour late. The staff performance was not the best, it was my first time using a bus, they did not inform passengers when we arrived at the destination, assuming everyone knows Joburg. As a result, I was dropped off at Midrand at 1am, whereas I should have arrived at 10 pm. All in all, the staff performance was horrible.
The bus arrived about 4 hours later and there was no updates or communication from the staff. When asked questions they gave really vague answers and seemed very much unbothered...not even by the fact that some of us were about to miss our interviews.
I will never ever use this service again. Eldo is the worst
