It was a horrible experience from start to finish.
The bus was scheduled to depart at 8:30 a.m., but it only arrived two hours later, at around 10:30 a.m. That was already the second bus because the first one broke down before it even reached the Midrand Big Bird station.
Things only got worse. The second bus also broke down before Kranskop, forcing a third bus to be sent. Just when we thought we’d finally make it home safely, the third bus broke down again in Elim before reaching Thohoyandou. By then, it was around 5:00 p.m., even though the bus was originally scheduled to arrive in Thohoyandou at 3:22 p.m.
I’ve never experienced anything this terrible. It clearly shows that these buses are poorly maintained. To make matters worse, there was no communication whatsoever with passengers throughout the ordeal. No updates, no apologies, and no response to our phone calls or complaints.
I will never use this bus service again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even my biggest enemy.
