How to get there
Madison’s Greyhound station is located at Phillips 66, 4 Collins Ct and there are usually at least two buses per day from Madison to Minneapolis.

Here are some of the things you can do once you arrive in Minneapolis.

1. Visit the museum of Russian art
The United States is a country of immigrants, so most of the population has their roots somewhere in Europe, Africa, or Asia. It comes as no surprise that they have a Museum of Russian Art. In fact, this is the only museum in North America of this nature, and it’s quite popular among its visitors, as it received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence in 2014! 2. Visit the American Swedish Institute
Like the Museum of Russian Art, the American Swedish Institute displays the cultural heritage of Swedish immigrants. The mansion is in a Neo-Gothic style and it’s a great way to spend the afternoon.

3. Take a stroll around the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
This is part of the city’s park system and it displays about 40 different artworks, making for a nice afternoon stroll.

4. Visit the Basilica of Saint Mary
The Basilica of Saint Mary was constructed between 1907 and 1915 and is a nice space to visit when in Minneapolis. The building is on 1600 Hennepin Ave.

How to get there
The Greyhound station in Minneapolis is on the corner of Hawthorne Ave and N 10th Street. There are two buses per day to Sioux Falls: The first leaves Minneapolis at 6:45am and the second leaves at noon. This is perfect, as you’re going to be able to enjoy the landscapes of Minnesota during this six-hour trip! West of the Mississippi, the American landscapes will slowly begin to change, and going by bus means that you’ll have the time to fully appreciate its natural wonders.

Sioux Falls is a nice little town, which – as the name suggests – is known for its waterfalls. Therefore, the beautiful Falls Park is a must on the bucket list of any traveller coming to the town. Sioux Falls has many attractions to offer – here are a few!

1. Visit the Old Courthouse Museum
Sioux Falls’ Old Courthouse Museum is a small gem and is worth spending at least an afternoon in. It features exhibits on the history of the area, ranging from the customs of native Indians, to the history of the colonization period, and modern age. Additionally, the building itself is really nice. What’s more, entry is free!

2. Go see the Saint Joseph Cathedral
This beautiful cathedral was constructed from 1915 to 1919 and is open everyday from 8am to 5pm. It is possible to get guided tours on appointment by calling them at (605) 336-7392.

3. Visit the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science
One of the region’s premier arts and cultural institutions, the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science features an African American history museum, arts galleries, an auditorium for concerts, and much more. With rave reviews from its visitors, it received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence in 2014 and is definitely a place to visit!
