Pathetic, everything about Eldo Coaches is terrible, the bus was late by over 2 hours, there was noise coming from the wheel,I think,we tild the driver,he started driving faster and the bus started smoking, the smoke was so thick we started coughing. After about 15 km of travelling, drivee stopped and told us we will have to wait for another bus.
When the other bus arrived, they said they can only take 7 people, the next bus will also take 9 people. The bus that came for me was a third bus at around 23H30,we didn't use the freeway most of rhe tume,I think itbwas avouding traffic police. We did not even pass Montrose, meaning that we did not even relieve ourselves. Babies that were in the bus were not channged for plus minus 8hours. Got to Pmb @ 05am
there was no aircon the bus over heated, driver sed we where gona change the bus but he was later advise to drive the same bus to pmb. no music, no tv, no usb ports were working. bus driver advised that he is a capetown driver. he did not know his way. very bad service we were scared for our lives
As much as we leaved on time these were more than 3 accounts were we had to stop and pick 3 more passengers we were left behind before exiting the Park Station( Johannesburg). Why does Intercity call the remaining passengers and ask them the were about before jetting off. I have been using Intercity form 2014 during my Varsity days and this Bus is always leave 10 minutes earlier befire time of which can be disadvantage to other before whi arrive exactly on the dot.
It was my first and last time using Vilamora, I arrived in braamfontein at their offices 30 minutes ahead of what was supposed to be time of departure, 8:30 am, the bus only arrived at 9:30 am, no apology/update from the team on site or the drivers, after all that we were surprised to see that we are now going east to collect people at Lakeside mall, still no communication. I am fed up.
They’re service was horrific. We only boarded the bus at 22:15 and it was supposed to be 19:55. We had to walk outside of park station with all our luggage in order to get onto another bus that was apparently hired. It was not safe.
I was most highly disappointed. I arrived on time for my bus, but my bus was not there. We were then informed that there are not enough Eldo Coaches busses and that Eldo coaches was using hired busses which we had to walk to from Park city Station to the unsafe road behind St john's ambulance, in the dark where vagabonds plague the street. Our luggage was not tagged and tickets were only checked for some passengers in the bus already. Our bus only left two hours after the scheduled time and the staff were terrine, shouting at us and not giving clear instructions. We eventually boarded with folk who were to leave on the 22:00 bus, having waited a good two hours in the bus before it even moved. I wish never to use this line again..
The bus fetched me 30 minutes at Southgate and from there it went to Park station where it then parked for over an hour without informing us why there was a delay. Then from there onwards, it still decided to stop just before the toll gate in Mooi River to get passengers from another bus that had broken down meaning the bus was now overloaded from there until PMB.
I have using Intercape since last year September 2021. The quality of the buses inside is deteriorating. The toilets are bad and with zero hygiene. There were 3 occasion where I had to use a broken sit with assistance. The space inbetwn are so small in some buses, the whole trip become unpleasant.
Bus was in good condition, driver drove well, driver was friendly. The travel time listed on bus schedule was very inaccurate as the trip took double the time. I.e. bus was scheduled to arrive in Pietermaritzburg at 23.45 but arrived at 03.00.
