Intercape Mainliner Pietermaritzburg Johannesburg recent customer reviews
I recently has the unfortunate experience of travelling with Intercape, and I must say it was utterly disappointing. My scheduled departure time was 23:55 , but the bus didn't depart until 01:50, making us wait for an hour and 20 minutes. This kind of delay is not just inconvenient; it's disrespectful to passengers who plan their journeys meticulously. What worst is the complete lack of communication regarding the delay. There was no notification whatsoever, leaving us stranded and clueless about when the bus would arrive. This lack of transparency is simply unacceptable! In conclusion, Intercape needs to seriously improve its punctuality, communication, and customer service.
There were roaches emerging from spaces. It needs to be fumigation. There was little to no communication from the staff regarding the many stops and the accident that too place during out ride. The air-conditioning is poor. Little to no oxygen is had which led to discomfort and dizziness. The toilets stank up the bus.
The bus overheated and we were stuck in the side of the roads for just over 2 hours. This is not the first time I have been in this situation on and Intercape bus. Busses need to be thoroughly checked regularly before loading passengers. I was 2 hours late to my destination which caused other transport problems. There were also cockroaches on the bus. And charging ports were not working. The toilet was also blocked and not working on the bus. Not acceptable please do better .
According to multiple reviews, customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the bus service due to significant delays and dropping passengers at incorrect locations late at night. These issues seem to be consistent across several reviews.

The bus was comfortable and warm. However the bus was an hour late at my drop off which was an inconvenience as I had estimated to arrive later than that
Enjoyed the stop in Harrismith but was annoyed to find my seat occupied by a joining pax.
It was terrible, Bus was late, wasnt a city liner - was a cramped eagle liner wiht no bathrooms, we had to make stops for people to use the toilete. Bus left at 1pm i arrived in Johannesburg at 11pm. totally unacceptable ! Will not be using them ever again
According to customer reviews, the bus service has been disappointing due to late arrivals. However, it's important to note that all of the reviews mention uncomfortable seats and a bad smell on the buses.

the journey took longer than it should have, and the bus broke down. but the bus was comfortable bus journey was comfortable but broke down and took longer than expected. It was well-priced.
I did not like the fact that I had to sit separately with my kids it was a bit hard for me rather then that the trip was fine
I was put into an intercity bus ,the trip was not enjoyable, the bus smelled poo as the toilet was full. Also the ticket inspectors were very rude towards the passengers.

On the other hand, some customers praise the affordable pricing and promptness of the service. However, it's important to note that negative experiences such as late arrivals and lack of air-conditioning have been mentioned in multiple reviews.
VILAMORA Pietermaritzburg Johannesburg recent customer reviews
The bus had mechanical failure its had no power we were stark in Montrose for hours and the driver was un professions I had to go and hike at my own expense
The bus was supposed to pick us up in Pietermaritzburg by 9:30am only for it to arrive at 12:00pm Disgraceful service, I could never recommend any one to book this bus ever!
The bus was very old and lacked air-conditioning. There was no communication, the bus was late and the driver made unnecessary stops and did not follow the route advertised. The final stop was not in the usual spot where all other busses stop - he asked us to get off in a crime ridden precinct. We almost got mugged and had our bags stolen while waiting for someone to pick us up. I will never recommend your bus to anyone and I will be posting negative comments on social.media.
