The bus was so uncomfortable and also smells urine, the chairs were unajustable, the drivers were driving recklessly and so rude to us as passengers, that was a worst trip of my life with an Intercape bus.
When going to East London from Cape Town the bus was 1 hour late, one passenger was smoking in the bus but drivers sorted that out. On returning bus was 7 hours late. Instead of 06:20pm departure bus departed 01:30am from East London. I feel Intercape doesn’t care about the commuters, I still had to proceed my route, when I called they said the policy says it’s no guarantee they will always be on time
It was horrible. At first, from the departure station everything was okay. No complaints at all. Our bus got stuck on the sideway at a distance of 15 mins before Caledon. We waited approximately 1 hour 30 mins for a new bus to arrive from depot. Our drivers told us that the bus wasn't well serviced to travel a long distance. My concern is why did we leave Cape Town in that bus, risking our safety? It was absolutely careless for intercape to put our lives in jeopardy like that. The new arrived and we continued our trip. From Makhanda (from what I can recall) it was established that the aircon was not working anymore. We drove in scorching heat to KWT. At that point people were extremely sweating. We experienced another issue, the shuttle that was supposed to pick EL passengers up from KWT was not available to. We were then instructed to take the problematic bus to EL. We were made to wait close to 30 mins for a plan to be made. There was much disorganization and dissatisfaction from passengers. We were advised to step out of the bus to avoid increased hypertension and fainting. Alternatively, to the lack of proactiveness of the management office and the drivers. EL passengers took another bus that was on it's way to EL. This was because it had an aircon. I did not have a seat on the bus but sacrificed sitting by the toilet just so I could arrive to EL in an air-conditioned bus rather than continuing in a scorching hot bus as the drivers were suggesting. I am very disappointed in Intercape, as a result I vow never to use their services ever again.

Price was the best...the bus itself was not stable...was wabbling especially at higher speed...must be checked for the safety of the passengers
The bus was late for 1 hour 30 minutes, the person weigh the language was very rude, he said he does not recognise my e-ticket, he wanted a paper ticket, I disagreed and he offered to fight with me in their office.
The bus was very cold...we were freezing the whole night.. the Toilet wasn’t working well on the bus and the driver refused to stop when we asked to use the garage bathroom.. the bus was late I don’t even know why I’ve rated 5 stars

The bus was not stable on the road, felt like I was traveling on a small boat being swung by waves. The bus wind screen did not have wipers, the bus constantly wiped his window infront of him. I feared for my safety. The chairs were falling off, the bus in general was not in good condition. So my experience was very dissatisfied.
I arrived to to destination 2 hours later and the drivers were rude. The bus cairs were broken and dirty.
They need to be trained regarding customer care and services. 4 hours delay and the driver are useless
According to customer reviews, there have been complaints about the bus not being cleaned or serviced properly. The air conditioning was also reported as not working and customers had to wait for an hour before departure. Additionally, there were long stops during the journey and a breakdown occurred one hour away from the destination. It took almost three hours for another bus to be organized. Furthermore, some customers mentioned experiencing significant delays with arrival times, resulting in wasted time."

The drivers were so understanding and friendly to the passengers,i have no regrets at all.
Very late it costed me lot of time. The arrival time was supposed to be 10:15 but it arrived at 13:50
Disgusting bus that wasn’t cleaned or serviced. The AC didn’t work, left us waiting for an hour in the middle of summer before we left Cape Town. Long stops were annoying and we broke down an hour out of our destination. Took almost 3 hours for them to organise another bus to take us to where we needed to go.
